Buying an Acreage Home
What acreage living means, and why buyers are choosing homes with land near Houston.
An acreage home is a new home built on a homesite of roughly 1/2 acre or larger, offering privacy and room for RVs, boats, workshops, pools, and outdoor living. It's a home where your neighbors aren't 10 feet away on all sides like in other communities.
Acreage homes near Houston provide more space, lower density, privacy, room for hobbies, and often lower tax rates than many master-planned communities. It's a different lifestyle from the crowded master-planned communities.
Land is limited, making larger homesites consistently more desirable. While markets vary, larger lots often maintain strong buyer appeal.
